Everyone is invited to attend the kickoff meeting for the 2007 Kuna Farmers Market
season. Come and see what is new for the Market this year and learn how to be a
vendor.
It will be an excellent opportunity to get answers to questions and provide suggestions
for what you would like to see at the Market.
The meeting will be held Thursday, April 12, at 7 pm. The location is the Kuna Fire
Station Meeting Room at 150 Boise Street in Kuna.
The Market is taking applications for new vendors of locally grown produce and select
handmade crafts. Community groups wishing to hold fundraisers are welcome. Anyone
interested in providing entertainment such as music, dance, or demonstrations in
gardening and crafting is also encouraged to apply.
The Market is held on Saturday mornings from May 12 through October 27. The location
is the Sandstone Plaza at the west end of Main Street in downtown Kuna, a fast-growing
city that still upholds its agricultural roots.
Kuna Farmers Market and the Sandstone Plaza offer a unique Saturday morning destination
as a community gathering place and remarkable shopping experience.
The Kuna Farmers Market features a variety of the freshest produce, pork, and beef
grown by local families. Home bakers offer tasty breads, cookies and rolls as well
as baked goods for special dietary needs. Handcrafted soaps and lotions made with
natural oils, beaded jewelry, and stonework are also part of the Market. There is
always an out-of-the-ordinary activity or demonstration for everyone to learn from
and enjoy.
Market visitors can also browse the Plaza shops for coffee, gourmet foods, wine
tasting, fine jewelry, party needs, and distinctive crafts. A massage or a day spa
experience are also offerings.
