Janell and Chris Lester are the proud parents of Christopher Michael who was born
at 1:45 am on Thursday, August 9. He was just two days old for his first Market
day. Christopher (Mikey) is the latest addition to the Vogel Farms team.
Chris dons an apron at the Market and serves up sausages and breakfast sandwiches
hot off the grill. Janell and Grandma, Debi Vogel, take orders and sell meat and
produce. When not at the Market, Chris farms and raises pigs and cattle with Mikey’s
Grandpa Ed Vogel. Janell teaches elementary school in Melba.
Vogel Farms is planning another expansion in two weeks. Stay tuned for a future
announcement.
Fresh produce at the Market: green beans, blackberries, Bodacious and Ambrosia sweet
corn, tomatoes, pickling cucumbers, peppers, zucchinis, pattypan squashes, watermelon,
and cantaloupe.
Lindsay Whitmore will be available to answer questions and provide information on
Kuna School bond election coming up September 11.
Market hours are from 9 am to 12 noon every Saturday through October 27. The location
is at Sandstone Plaza at the west end of Main Street in downtown Kuna.
