Oktoberfest at the Market on 29-Sep will be a fun day with two dance groups performing.
Vogel's will be serving hot German sausages along with corn on the cob. The vendors
who bake can create and bring German-influenced baked goods if they like. The mornings
are turning cool and shoppers are looking for a tasty treat to go with hot drinks.
We will extend the Market hours to 1pm.
The businesses at Sandstone Plaza are organizing a fundraiser for the Kuna Food
Bank. Bring a non-perishable food item to the Farmers Market and receive a $1-off
coupon and a chance to win a Kuna Farmers Market canvas shopping bag.
Trina at Confetti's will be having a Scrap Pink fundraiser event that day for scrapbook
and craft enthusiasts to come and work on their projects all day.
Attached is the flyer that we and all of the participating businesses will be handing
out over the next couple of weeks. It will also appear in the Kuna Melba News.
The following Saturday, Oct. 6, the Heatherwood Swingers will entertain with singing
and music from their homemade instruments. They were a hit last year and enjoyed
the hospitality of the Market team.
Two days of Christmas in October are for all of the Market's crafters to sell their
wares. This is a fun, pre-holiday time to help shoppers start planning for holiday
gifts. Elvis will return and sing favorites from "The King."
Oct. 29, the season finale, the 9 mayorial and city council candidates will be invited
to the Market to meet residents and answer voter questions on their visions for
Kuna. All vnedors are encouraged to dress up and celebrate Halloween and "treat"
our shoppers to a fun end to the season.
Market hours are from 9 am to 12 noon every Saturday through October 27. The location
is at Sandstone Plaza at the west end of Main Street in downtown Kuna.
