The Market will have holiday flair on Saturday with handmade Christmas creations
by Andrea Pierce. Her home has been turned into a workshop for crafting wreaths,
ornaments, bows, and other colorful, festive items such as a magazine holder and
country clothes pins for pinning cards to garland.
Andrea enjoys the Christmas season and has fond memories of her grandmother’s handcrafted
decorations. Andrea remembers the anticipation every year of opening the small gift
box from her grandmother to see what new ornament would be inside. Each grandchild
would receive a new, sequined ornament. Andrea carries on the tradition and makes
ornaments for her nephews and friends using some of her grandmother’s patterns.
Visit Andrea at the Market and catch the Christmas spirit early. She also takes
special orders and can be reached at 703-6154.
Andrea and her husband, Will, live in Kuna. They adopt miniature Pomeranians that
the Humane Society has deemed older and need special care.
Other crafters will join us for this week’s Christmas in October celebration. Select
gifts from jewelry, fleece wear, wood crafts and more. Join us also for pumpkin
decorating for the kids.
The Kuna Farmers Market is open Saturday from 9 until noon. October 27 will be the
final day for the season with Meet the Candidates and Halloween activities.
