The Kuna Farmers Market ended the season on a wonderful Indian summer morning. The
autumn scene filled with pumpkins, winter squash, onions, pinto beans, and late
season tomatoes was a great way to end the season.
Colorful wreathes, baskets, and handcrafted items hinted of the approaching Christmas
season. Shoppers found treats for all tastes at the Kuna Methodist Women bake sale
and visited with candidates for the upcoming city election.
Thanks to all of the customers who support the Farmers Market. Thanks also to the
Sandstone Plaza businesses for hosting the Market and for participating in Market
activities. Thanks also go to the Kuna Melba News and the Kuna Chronicle for their
support.
Finally, a big thank you goes to Sara Brosier for volunteering at the Market. Sara
has great ideas, wrote several articles for the paper, and filled in as Market manager.
Although the Farmers Market is closed for the season, several vendors are still
open at their farms. For example, Cabalo’s have winter squash. Vogel’s have beef,
pork, and gifts. They are expanding their operation to include a shopping village
and petting zoo.
As always if you have suggestions for the Farmers Market, please let us know. For
