Cabalo’s Orchard and Garden have a new addition to their family. Natalie Rose was born just after midnight on Monday morning, June 9. Parents are Thomas and Sarah Cabalo. Thomas is the son of Chan and Cathy Cabalo of Kuna, and Sarah is the daughter of Randy Tabbutt of Kuna and Janet Riecker of Caldwell.

Both parents went about their normal weekend activities and got little notice of Natalie’s pending arrival. Sarah mixed concrete and helped kids make their own stepping stones at the Market on Saturday and attended church and visited family on Sunday. Thomas arrived home Sunday evening after weekend duty with the Air National Guard just in time to rush Sarah to the hospital.

Thomas and Sarah are active members of the Cabalo’s Orchard and Garden business. They assist with tending and farm’s orchard, vegetable gardens, farm stand, and on-farm events. Thomas and Sarah help with booth operations at the Kuna Farmers Market and will soon open a branch booth for the Cabalo’s family at the Nampa Farmers Market.

More spring produce is coming on. Bok Choy, Chinese cabbage, spinach, tender lettuce greens, rhubarb, asparagus, radishes, and leeks are plentiful. The first peas and baby beets are coming in. Enjoy these fresh, tender spring season items at their best.
