Kuna Farmers Market celebrated the end of the season on a sunny, festive note last
Saturday.
Thank you to all of our customers for your tremendous support. We appreciate that
the community recognizes the high quality of the fresh foods from our vendors and
the significance of maintaining a local food supply.
Thank you to the crafters who bring creative inspiration to us all.
Thanks also go to the community groups who provided entertainment and educational
demonstrations and shared their passions with others.
The Fall season brings the opportunity to visit the farms of some of our Market
vendors.
Cabalo’s Orchard and Gardens opens the Pumpkin Patch on October 4. Take a hayride
to the pumpkin patch, search for the perfect Jack ‘O Lantern pumpkin, and pick apples
in the orchard. The farm stand will be stocked with tomatoes and melons. Once the
frost hits, the pie pumpkins and winter squash will be at their best. Many items
for Fall decorating are available including Indian corn, mini straw bales, corn
stalks, and pumpkin carving tools and patterns.
Cabalo’s are open October 4-31, Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm and Sundays
1 to 7 pm. Call 922-3301 for more information.
Vogel’s Farms will hold "Christmas on the Farm" every Saturday from November 15
through December 20. Hours will be 10:30 am to 2 pm. Vogels will be serving their
delicious breakfast sandwiches. All of the shops of their Country Market will be
open. For more information call 466-6928.
If you miss Ione’s Knutty Knots we have good news! She will be at Cabalo’s and Vogel’s
on Saturdays. Call ahead for details.
