Crafters will fill the garden next to the Farmers Market for the Wild Ivy Craft Faire on Saturday. Our Market crafters will also be offering their handmade wares. What a unique opportunity to enjoy so many creative, local, handmade designs and meet the artists. Come early for the Farmers Market and enjoy the garden and entertainment all day at Wild Ivy.

Tanya Castello, of Bling & Things, is one our Market crafters. She designs beaded jewelry using a variety of stones, glass beads, and metal accents. She also has jewelry for kids with colorful, fun beads. On Saturday Tanya will demonstrate the techniques of making earrings. She will also help shoppers design their own set of earrings for $2.

Linda Reece sews and crochets with a focus on baby and children’s clothing. The summer dresses with matching hats or bloomers are adorable. Also in Linda’s booth at the Market, see blankets, afghans, pillows, purses, aprons, and dolls.

Another crafter at the Market is photographer, Jessica Torres. She enjoys outdoor and landscape photography of the local area and is building a portfolio of prints that can be enlarged. She takes portraits on request.

The hands-on craft activity for kids at the Confetti’s booth will be paper making.

The spring produce at the Market is at its prime. Pick up fresh-picked asparagus, salad greens, radishes and rhubarb. To complete the garden planting, a wide selection of bedding plants is available—tomatoes, herbs, hanging baskets, and perennial flowers. Also try our locally grown lamb, pork, beef, eggs, and fresh baked goods.

The Market is held Saturdays from 9 am to 12 noon at Sandstone Plaza in Kuna at the west end of Main Street. For more information, contact Cheryl McCord at 922-5113 or visit the website at www.KunaFarmersMarket.com.
