The Kuna Farmers Market announces the "Eat Local" Recipe of the Month contest. We
are challenging everyone to buy fresh produce, meats, and eggs from the Market and
create favorite or new dishes. Recipes featuring the local ingredients can be entered
into the contest and winners will be chosen monthly.
The contest is meant to be simple and fun. Make sure that the main ingredient and
as many ingredients as possible come from the Market. For example, tender spring
lettuce, spinach, radishes, and green onions are at their prime and could be used
for many delicious salads.
We want to hear your food stories. How did you choose the recipe? Did you see an
interesting vegetable at the Market and decide to try it for the first time? Did
the kids help prepare the dish? How did it turn out?
Bring your recipes and stories to the Market Info booth or send an email to
Cheryl.McCord@KunaFarmersMarket.com. Monthly winners will be selected by
a panel of judges. The prize is a $10 coupon to the Market. All winners will be
eligible for the grand prize drawing in September for a Kuna Farmers Market shopping
bag.
Events at the Market
The Kuna Grange is having a bake sale. Support the Grange and take home tasty baked
goods.

The Market is held Saturdays from 9 am to 12 noon at Sandstone Plaza in Kuna at
