Everyone is invited to City Days at the Market on Saturday. This is a day to see
fire trucks and police cars and meet the people who help keep Kuna safe. It is also
an opportunity to see future plans for the city and give your input to city council
members.
The Kuna Rural Fire Department will have a fire truck, ambulance and crew on hand
to talk about their jobs and demonstrate equipment they use when called to emergencies.
Kids will get their own fireman’s helmet.
The Kuna City Police will also be at the Market to answer questions.
Maps and information on the proposed update to the comprehensive plan will be on
display. If you have not already seen the plan and map that have been developed
over the passed months, this is a chance to see details prior to the City Council
public hearing on July 7. A conceptual drawing of the new regional park will also
be displayed. Members of City Council will be on hand to answer questions and take
input on these plans for Kuna’s future.
Two projects to improve Kuna sidewalks begin this week. See the Ada County Highway
District plans for 4th Street and Linder Road pedestrian improvements.
Shop the Market for spring greens. The continued cool, rainy weather is producing
some of the best cool crops we have seen in years. Now at the Market are kohlrabies,
sugar snap peas, snow peas, baby Bok Choy, kale, spinach, lettuce, beets, radishes,
and green onions.
The Market is held Saturdays from 9 am to 12 noon at Sandstone Plaza in Kuna at
the west end of Main Street. For more information, contact Cheryl McCord at 922-5113
or visit the website at
