Whether you have a small garden or a large acreage, the market is actively seeking
producers of quality fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers, locally prepared foods and
specialty items.
It is very easy to sell your own fruits and vegetables at the market, even if you
only show up one time to get rid of the garden extras! The only things you
need are a table and a change box. A canopy would be nice. And, as a
mark of the times, everyone must fill out three forms: one for the Central District
Health Department, one for a sales tax license, and finally, an application to the
Kuna Farmers Market itself. We will guide you through the process. Please
call us 922-5113 or email cheryl.mccord@kunafarmersmarket.com.
All three forms are easy to fill out.
The Health Department and the Sales Tax applications are free. The Farmers
Market does have an annual booth fee which is submitted with the application.
The fee is 5, 15, or 30 dollars, depending on the space needed. So far, most
everyone has been getting a $15 space, which is 10 feet square, just right for a
few tables and a canopy. The market also collects 6% of gross weekly sales.
The links below will help you get started.
- Market Rules
Please read the market rules, which we hope will keep the market a happy place for
customers and vendors alike. All home-baked goods must be approved by the
market manager.
- Licenses
Vendors are responsible for obtaining the necessary licenses. If you sell
fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh eggs, or occasional baked goods, then you need
a sales tax permit and a Central District Health registration. These are free.
Additional licenses are needed if prepared foods are sold. The Licenses link
will help you get started.
- Market Application
Finally, please print the market application, fill it out, include the annual booth
fee, and mail it to Cheryl McCord.
